Prices are inclusive of VAT and may be subject to change without notice at the Company`s discretion.

Buying wine on-line
We charge a flat rate £9.99 delivery charge for any amount of items ordered together for delivery to one address. Whether you order a hamper or 6, 12, 24 or 36 bottles, you will be charged just £9.99, inclusive of VAT.
It`s unlikely but possible we may have to change your order slightly – a different gift box, possibly, a new vintage, even another wine. However, if we do this we guarantee to supply goods of equal or higher quality and value. We recommend you provide us with full contact details, including the recipients name, address/postal code and telephone number.
Local Sale or Return and free glass loan
We offer the Sale or Return and free glass loan facility for our local customers` private parties, with drinks (and glasses) collected from our shop in Great Horkesley. Glassware is loaned free of charge providing the appropriate drinks and number of drinks are bought at The Wine Centre. Glasses go out to customers in the condition they are returned by the previous users, so, firstly it is asked they are returned clean, and, secondly, just in case, it is recommended that customers check glasses carefully before use. Breakages are charged at £1 each (standard), £2.50 (fine flute), £7.00 (Riedel). Glasses returned dirty are charged at £3 per dozen. NB. Riedel is offered for minimum £9.99 per bottle spend.
Customers are required to pay 50% of goods upfront, and where orders of over 60 bottles of any one wine is ordered, we can accept up to 30 bottles back. Additionally, returned stock must be in good condition for re-sale. Stock with damaged labels cannot be taken back, for example, so we advise customers not to leave bottles in icy water over night.
Faulty goods returns policy
We ask for faulty goods to be returned as soon as possible, within 30 days, with proof of purchase. The Gift Room has its own separate returns policy for clothes, available in the shop.
Account facilities are available to known local customers who buy regular orders and who enjoy the convenience of settling their account once monthly. Account customers are asked to pay promptly on receipt of their monthly statements. If payment is not received in full before 60 days we automatically levy a flat rate “late payment charge” of £50.00 to the customer and we issue a final 7-day notice before, if necessary, taking the matter to the County Court.
We recommend that account customers check their orders carefully and sign to acknowledge their receipt, whether collected from the Wine Centre, or delivered to their homes. If a signature is not provided, and/or when instruction is given to leave delivered goods without a signature, the Company cannot accept responsibility for any discrepancy, loss or damage to goods.
Title – to all goods supplied by the Company shall remain the property of the Company until paid for in full. All goods are offered subject to availability.
Restaurant customers are provided with separate terms and conditions.
Gift wrap charges in the shop:
Standard gift wrap £2.50
We don`t discount our wine gift and hamper prices, but, unusually, there are no extra charges built in for packing either.
For locals we automatically discount 5% on a case of 12 wines or 24 beers when picked up from The Wine Centre. We don`t offer discount on goods delivered, promotional wines already discounted, wines supplied sale or return, or on our £6.99-£7.99 ranges (margin is too tight, sorry).
“The Company” refers to Great Horkesley Wines Limited trading as Great Horkesley Wine Centre.
