Red and White Six Selection

Bellefontaine Sauvignon Blanc, Pays d`Oc – The Bellefontaine range has established an international reputation for consistent quality and value. Every year Boutinot winemakers select only quality parcels of wine from different estates and producers, each contributing key components to the finished blend. Classic, well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc from southern France with herbaceous aromas and crisp green apples on the palate.

Pinot Grigio, Principato – Grapes are sourced from Oltrepo Pavese in the province of Pavia, Lombardy. The vines are cultivated on the hillsides at an altitude ranging from 200 to 400 m above sea level in a climate which features hot summers and cold winters. Shows delicate, floral and fruity aromas with a hint of stone fruit. The palate is crisp with citrus characters and a limey and lightly spicy finish.

Percheron Chenin Blanc/Viognier– Chenin and Viognier are not usual blending partners but this easy drinking South African brings out the potential of both. Generous fresh apricot, white peach and hints of jasmine on the nose. On the palate it has tight, white, fleshy stone fruit with a balancing sandy texture.

Percheron Shiraz/Mourvedre– Grapes for Percheron Shiraz Mourvedre has been sourced from traditional growers in the Swartland area of the Cape. The climate is perfect for viticulture with the low rainfall summer months, tempered by cool afternoon breezes. A bright, sandy nose that can only be Swartland in origin suggests summer pudding, chinese 5 spice and crushed raspberries with a latent creaminess. Red fruit on the palate which is at once vibrant and dark.

Les Oliviers Merlot Mourvedre, Pays d`Oc– The Boutinot winemaking team uncovered a single plot of Merlot and a single plot of Mourvèdre in the sun-drenched Languedoc. Brightly perfumed fruit, a hint of lavender, then classic merlot flavours: ripe red summer berries, plums and damsons. Mourvèdre shows its grip with warm spice and a green, herby edge on the finish.

Ca di Ponti Nero d’Avola, Sicily – Grapes are sourced from southern Sicily, around Riesi – Nero d’Avola’s traditional heartland. A deeply coloured, full-flavoured, spicy red with aromas of wild plum and black cherry accentuating savoury, liquorice characters. The palate combines dark fruit flavours with lightly smoky notes, a hint of bitter chocolate and structured tannins.
