German Pinot Noir / Spatburgunder in Wood

£35.99

Kloster Eberbach Crescentia, Spatburgunder trocken, Hollenburg, Rheingau – ‘Hollenberg’ derives from the old German word meaning ‘heap’ or ‘precipice’. This steep vineyard is almost entirely violet-coloured slate and stone – like that found in the Steinberg vineyard. Ripe, wild, red berry fruit – concentrated and with great depth. On the palate is a touch of spice, followed by blacker fruit – all wrapped up with juicy acidity and lovely fine tannins. 100% Pinot Noir.
